A short, relaxed photography session designed to capture your family exactly as you are right now.

These sessions are joyful, simple, and focused on genuine moments: the laughter, the cuddles, the little ways your children reach for you.

What These Sessions Are Like

My goal is always for families to feel comfortable and present during a session.

You won’t be expected to stand stiffly or pose in ways that feel unnatural. Instead, we keep things relaxed and playful so the moments that unfold feel honest and true.

Children are free to move, explore, and be themselves while I gently guide the session and document the connection between you.

Many parents say their session ends up feeling more like a small pause in their day than a formal photo shoot.

What It Will Feel Like

These sessions are meant to feel:

β€’ calm and unhurried
β€’ warm and emotionally present
β€’ easy and supportive

A quiet kind of luxury: thoughtful, intentional, and grounded.

You don’t need to prepare perfectly.
You don’t need to perform.

You simply need to show up as you are with the people you love.

Is This The Right Fit?

Fall Petite Sessions may be perfect for you if:

β€’ you want photographs of your family together
β€’ you value connection over perfection
β€’ you love images that feel warm, natural, and emotionally honest
β€’ you prefer a relaxed, guided experience
β€’ you don’t need a long session to capture meaningful moments

These sessions may not be the best fit if:

β€’ you're looking for a fully customized, extended session
β€’ you want a large number of images included
β€’ you prefer very posed or highly formal portraits

If you're unsure, you're always welcome to reach out, I'm happy to help you decide.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who are these sessions best for?
These sessions are designed for families who want relaxed, meaningful photographs without committing to a full-length session. They're especially wonderful for families with children who do better with a short, playful experience.

What if my children don’t cooperate?
That’s completely okay. These sessions are guided gently and centered on connection, not perfection. Some of the most meaningful images come from the in-between moments.

What should we wear?
Simple, comfortable clothing tends to photograph beautifully. Coordinating rather than matching usually works best. Soft textures, earthy colors, rich fall tones, and pieces you feel comfortable moving in are all wonderful choices.

I have links available for styling suggestions on Pinterest.

What happens if it rains?
If weather doesn’t cooperate, sessions will move to the scheduled rain date (Sunday, October 25, 2026).

How does booking work?

Full payment is required at the time of booking to reserve your session.

Because fall petite sessions are limited and scheduled back-to-back, payments are non-refundable. If you’re unable to attend, your session may be transferred to another family or applied as a credit toward a future full session.

Can I upgrade my gallery?
Yes. A full fall petite session gallery upgrade will be available after your images are delivered.

Where do the fall petite sessions take place?

My fall petite sessions are held at beautiful outdoor locations near Charlottesville.

Is 10 minutes really enough?

Yes! Petite Sessions are intentionally short and playful. Ten minutes gives us enough time to create a small collection of photographs that feels like your family without asking kids to stay engaged through a long session. We'll move, interact and let kids be themselves. I’ll gently guide you along the way.
